Minster Surfacing was founded in 1999. Based in Lincoln, it delivers multi-million pound infrastructure projects nationwide for the Ministry of Defence, local authorities, central Government and the aviation industry. It also works for many of the UK’s largest construction firms, including Balfour Beatty, Gelder Group, Kier Group and TARMAC.
Minster was one of the first companies in the UK to use technology that allows it to recycle material removed from old roads to be used again for new surfaces. It also uses GPS, 3D scanning and automated machinery to reduce waste and improve repairs in real-time.
The company was named Overall Winner and Best Business in the Lincolnshire Environmental Awards 2018 and was awarded the Innovation in Construction award at the Lincolnshire Technology & Innovation Awards 2018.
